Michael Roy is an award-winning campaign strategist with over a decade of experience in digital marketing and strategic communications.

Michael is currently the Managing Director of Metric Strategies, a boutique Canadian campaigns firm specializing in work with labour unions, NGOs, and the public sector.

Michael previously served as Director of Research and Strategy at Point Blank Creative, and as National Digital Director for Canada’s NDP during the 2015 cycle. His team set new national fundraising records and mobilized tens of thousands of volunteers and supporters across the country.

Prior to his time in Ottawa Michael served as Director of Communications for the BC NDP, where he directed award-winning ad campaigns, developed communications strategies for breakthrough by-elections and modernized the party’s communications tactics. Michael has worked on election campaigns and referenda at the municipal, provincial and federal level.

When he's not at work (which his partner Rachel contends is much too rare), Michael can be found in the kitchen, behind the lens of his camera, or playing with their daughter Frankie and dog Sula.
